Townsend Montana in Broadwater county is a quaint cozy town 20 minutes from Helena Montana and 60 minutes from Bozeman Montana; resides near the Lewis and Clark trial and nestled in the Missouri River valley. Canyon Ferry lake is one of the largest lakes in Montana and a popular summer attraction. Estimated at 27 miles long it covers 76 shoreline miles with camp grounds, marinas, and plenty fishing and boating activities.
