Townsend Montana in Broadwater county is a quaint cozy town 20 minutes from Helena Montana and 60 minutes from Bozeman Montana; resides near the Lewis and Clark trial and nestled in the Missouri River valley. Dominated by the powering presence of the Big Belt and Elkhorn mountain ranges with rolling hills and towering peaks that house wildlife to make these areas on of the top hunting grounds in the state.

Complimenting the beauty of the surrounding mountains is the winding Missouri River that seams to flow almost directly through the Heart of Townsend like a "lifeline artery" nurturing the valley for farmers and ranchers, then humbly dumping into Canyon Ferry Lake.

Canyon Ferry lake is one of the largest lakes in Montana and a popular summer attraction. Estimated at 27 miles long it covers 76 shoreline miles with camp grounds, marinas, and plenty fishing and boating activities.
